The first three groups may not surprise you; they are standard to most nonprofit organizations. But you'll notice we've added an "Elders" group. We felt strongly that we wanted to honor and incorporate the knowledge and wisdom of our community and industry elders in order to guide SSFs vision and efforts. Thus, the Board of Elders may include First Nations peoples, retired style professionals or even our grandparents who just seem to have the answer for everything. All of them teach us to honor our past, ground us in the present and respect those who come after us.
Please note...having just opened shop in the spring of 2003, all of our boards and committees are a still a work in progress. We will continue to build the groups over the next year.

Marilyn McGuire | Marilyn McGuire is on the advisory board of WISDOM Media and is the founder and president of New Alternatives for Publishers, Retailers and Artists, Inc., (NAPRA). As a publishing consultant and event coordinator, McGuire has built a significant publishing trade organization dedicated to spiritual growth and positive social change. She publishes the popular NAPRA Review of books, music and other products and services and which features articles, industry trends, news and developments. We originally approached Marilyn to be on our International Advisory Board; we were thrilled when she was the first to specifically request to be on the Board of Elders.
